Okay, this may not be the most appropriate venue to express my concerns, but I had to let you know... I am absolutely terrified of sending my baby into the big, bad world (a.k.a. public school). I have gotten just a taste of how bad it can be by experiencing summer camp this year. It has been HORRIBLE!Those of you who have entered this new stage of life with your children or you are an educator who could shed some light on how to prepare my child and MYSELF for this new experience, please shed your words of wisdom. Has anyone else felt like me? Please put me out of my misery and let me know that my fears are normal.

Rhonda...IT'S WONDERFUL ! Gracie starts school this year along with Lane! I CAN TAKE LOTS OF NAPS and watch LOTS OF TV!! I CAN'T WAIT!! HA HA HA HA HA HA
OK OK I will admit this...when Lane started school... I cried the first day I had to drop him off. It was a horrible morning and I didn't think I would make it through the day. Then I went to the grocery store and realized how much easier it was with one kid screaming for a candy bar instead of two. HA HA The first day will be hard but know it gets easier. He will love it and so will you!
Rhonda, it WILL BE OK.
I remeber putting Peyton on the bus and being OK with it... she was a sweet outgoing kids... Andrew I was TERRIFIED. he was a loner, he wasn't nearly as outgoing as Peyton... on and on the list went, but he came home enthralled. HE LOVED school, and your big guy will too.
You will cray when you drop him off or put him on the bus for the frist time. You will be overwhelmed with joy the first time he come running around the corner after school when you pick him up from daycare. You will realize eventually that you are thankful there are people God calls to teach six year old boys how to be human beings and sit in a chair. Then you will treasure every moment and anxiety filled thought and prayer. :)
hang in there, gal we're prayin for ya both.
