As some of you already know, Charma and Bryan were able to bring Lyric home this weekend! PRAISE THE LORD! This is an amazing baby! The Haskins family has much to praise the Lord about these days...but what about you? It's easy to get caught up in our "needs" and "wants" when we pray to the Lord, but do you PRAISE Him enough? It seems that during this holiday season, there are so many songs on the radio, and television proclaiming praises to Jesus. I actually heard "Our God Is An Awesome God" being sung on "The Proud Family" on the Disney Channel the other day! As this week comes to a close and we all look forward to gathering together to Worship and Praise the Saviour this weekend, be ever mindful of the "Praises" in your life! Feel free to post a comment here offering a Praise to the Lord for what He has done in your life lately!! Who knows, your praise may encourage others to do more of the same.Wednesday, November 29, 2006

Every night, when we sit down for family time, we list all the ways in which God has blessed us. What really amazes me is what the kids are thankful for! Things that adults take for granted, really mean alot to our children. I thank God every day to have two wonderful kids (Matthew and Zach) that really keep me grounded, and have taught me the REAL meaning of life.

Even though it was a rough road, I am thankful that the Lord brought my son Ryan through his surgery beautifully. As most of you know, he had his tonsils & adenoids removed, and a 2nd set of tubes in his ears on Nov 30th...I was no where near prepared for how hard it would be in the hours and days after that! We ended up spending the night at Childrens because he had a hard time breathing after the surgery, so he needed to be monitored. It's so hard to watch an otherwise healthy little boy be in so much pain, and to not be able to breathe well enough on his own after having what is considered to be a "minor, routine surgery" (MINOR MY FOOT!!). But, finally, after 10 days of recovery, Ryan is a NEW CHILD! He breathes so much better now that his adenoids aren't in the way! I PRAISE THE LORD, for giving me healthy, beautiful children and for surrounding me with loving, supporting, prayerful family and friends at CrossPoint, and in Family Ties! GOD IS SOOOOO GOOD TO ME~!

I am so thankful for what happened last night during the choir program "A Christmas Prayer". Believe me, the Spirit was there and sang through us - we in no way sounded remotely that good in practice. I thank God for Bryan Haskins - he is, indeed, the man that God desired for CrossPoint. He is doing amazing things through that man and through the choir and he is working within the lives of the choir members. Although it was a lot of hard work, I am forever changed by "A Christmas Prayer" I second Jenny - God is SOOOO good!
